Trinity Mirror has appointed Rick Gleave to the new role of group head of interactive. He will be responsible for driving the group’s entry into the mobile market.
Gleave (pictured) joins the newspaper group from rival News Group, where he was head of mobile at its interactive division in Australia. He will report into Kerry O’Connor, interactive services director at Trinity Mirror.
His remit will include telephone and text activities such as its competitions and dating services. He will also be responsible for developing revenue opportunities in the fast-growing mobile advertising market.
Trinity Mirror says the appointment supports its focus on integrated multiplatform media offering.
Prior to joining News Group, Gleave worked for the UK Press Association and Australian Associated Press.
