Cheggers embraces Web 2.0 for game launch

TV star Keith Chegwin is launching his first podcasts to support the roll out of his new videogame, Cheggers Party Quiz. The opening podcast in the series will be released on November 14.

The podcast series features chat and anecdotes from Chegwin recorded at his studio. A fresh podcast will be released each week in the run-up to Christmas.

The podcasts will be available to download from iTunes and from Oxygen Games’ website, which is publishing the game.

Cheggers Party Quiz is being launched on PC and PlayStation 2 platforms and a Wii version will be available in December. The game pits players against one another, testing their knowledge of films, television and music.

Chegwin has experienced a revival in his popularity recently after a high-profile cameo appearance on Ricky Gervais’ series, Extras. He also has a regular slot on GMTV.
