HarperCollins book extracts to be available on iPhone

HarperCollins UK is offering readers the chance to browse book extracts on Apple’s iPhone and iPod Touch users. The programme will be available from today (Friday) to coincide with the UK launch of Apple’s iPhone.

The technology, called Browse Inside, aims to replicate the experience of browsing through a book. Audio clips, including extracts from accompanying audio books and excerpts from interviews with authors, will also be available.

Among the initial fifteen titles to be offered are; Lewis Hamilton: My Story, Gordon Ramsay’s Playing With Fire, Eating for England by Nigel Slater, Next by Michael Crichton and Dragon’s Den: Success, From Pitch to Profit by the Dragon’s Den television series stars.
