Edgley will work across a raft of Associated brands, including the Daily Mail, Mail on Sunday, Evening Standard, London Lite and Metro.

He will report into group commercial director Guy Zitter.

Edgley spent over 10 years as international sales director at TMG (then known as The Telegraph Group), where he managed around 35 sales representatives.

He is claimed to be responsible for increasing advertising revenues from £1.9m to over £8m in direct business from overseas at the group.
