Honda UK completes management team with head of car sales

Honda UK has promoted regional operations manager Janice Kennedy to head of sales for cars to complete its new-look senior management line-up. Kennedy replaces Bernard Bradley, who was promoted to the role of general manager for cars last month (MW October 11).

Bradley took over the day-to-day running of Honda’s car division following Ewan Ramsey’s departure after less than two years. Kennedy, who joined Honda in 2005 after stints at Reg Vardy and Renault, will report to Bradley in her new role. She starts on December 1.

Ramsey joined Honda at the start of 2006 (MW November 17, 2005) but the company’s high-profile marketing director Simon Thompson left to join Motorola soon after his arrival. Thompson has since moved to Lastminute.com as chief marketing officer.

Kennedy’s promotion completes an overhaul of Honda’s senior management team in the UK that has been going on since Thompson’s departure. Thompson’s replacement Jeff Dodds left to join Callaway Golf after less than a year in the role. Tom Gardner, who was head of aftersales, replaced him as head of marketing.
