LOCOG, the London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games, has signed financial services company Deloitte as the first tier two sponsor for London 2012.
It becomes the official professional services supporter of the games with rights to use the London 2012 marks, and rights to Team GB and Paralympics GB.
It follows Lloyds TSB, Adidas and EDF Energy, which have all been signed up as tier one sponsors for the games. The relationship begins in January 2009.
Deloitte will also provide LOCOG with professional advisory services including tax, human capital, management consulting and financial support.
LOCOG chief executive Paul Deighton says the deal shows the “commercial momentum” underpinning its sponsorship programme.
