Favre Sports to shake up ski rental market with Web shop

A new ski sports brand claims it will “revolutionise” the rental market with cheaper, better quality equipment that can be ordered online.

Ski Republic, which is owned by winter sports group Favre Sports, is launching in France for this season. The brand will offer users the ability to order and pay for ski and snowboard equipment through its website before they leave. It will also offer damage insurance as standard and a free helmet.

The brand has been working with creative business consultancy Dave to develop its brand position and identity, and a fully integrated communications plan. The brand is also working with sister Engine Group agencies Altogether Digital, which created its website, and Slice PR.

It will target consumers that are affluent and internet savvy and expect high levels of service and quality. It is being launched into the English and French markets at the same time and the launch campaign, which includes online and PR, will focus on raising brand awareness and driving sales.

Favre Sports managing director Mike De Souza says/ “Dave has turned our business idea from a napkin doodle to a creative platform that inspires us internally and presents us as a trusted, dynamic and revolutionary brand externally.”
