ING Direct, the online savings bank, is understood to be reviewing its the £10m advertising account. The business is currently handled by Vallance Carruthers Coleman Priest, which has been invited to repitch.

The review, which the AAR is believed to be handling, is expected to start at the end of January but it is thought that a number of agencies have already been approached.

VCCP was appointed by ING Group, the Dutch parent company, in 2003 to launch the high interest savings account. It has created a series of campaigns, including TV, press and outdoor work, to raise awareness of the brand.
