Nationwide Building Society is reviewing its £20m media planning and buying account. It is currently held by Mediaedge:cia, which has been invited to repitch for the business.

The review is in the early stages and the pitch will not take place until next year. Nationwide head of brand strategy Peter Gandolfi says that it “makes sense to review” following significant changes in both the finance market and media.

The pitch is being handled by Oystercatchers, the marketing services consultancy launched by Suki Thompson, the founder of the Haystack Group, and former JWT new business director Peter Cowie (MW November 15).
