British Airways is launching its first campaign featuring Terminal 5 at Heathrow, which will be the airline’s new base from the New Year.
The seasonal campaign, which breaks on December 10, shows a woman meeting her grandchild at the terminal and as they embrace their shadows cast the shape of an aeroplane on the floor. It has been created by Bartle Bogle Hegarty and has the strapline “Come together this Christmas”.
Katherine Whitton, head of brand and marketing communications at BA, says: “It was an excellent opportunity for us to use Terminal 5. The building is full of light and architectural features which create advertising impact.” BA is also running a Christmas competition with afternoon freesheet thelondonpaper, offering tickets to any of its destinations in 2008.
