O2 recruits music chief

O2O2 UK has appointed Matt Ward as head of music. He joins from mobile video specialist Mobix Interactive, where he was head of the consumer proposition team that developed and managed “mobile live” services.

Ward will be responsible for music strategy, music services and the management of all music-related customer propositions at O2. He will report to head of content Grahame Riddell.

Riddell says: “Having successfully established ourselves in the digital music space and with the integration of music services into sponsorship properties such as The O2 and the O2 Wireless Festival, Matt’s appointment will further strengthen the delivery of new and engaging content for our customers.”
