Diet brand recruits ex-W&K managing director
Amy Smith, the former managing director of Wieden & Kennedy in London, has been appointed as managing director of diet brand Jenny Craig in Australia and New Zealand.
Amy Smith, the former managing director of Wieden & Kennedy in London, has been appointed as managing director of diet brand Jenny Craig in Australia and New Zealand.
Smith joins the weight loss brand, which is owned by Nestlé, from JWT Australia and New Zealand, where she has been chief executive for almost two years. JWT is the brand’s retained agency and successfully repitched for the business last year.
She has been recruited by the brand to led a “revitalisation phase” and Ray Davidson, Jenny Craig general manager, says she is determined to make it a brand “to be reckoned with”.
Smith, who has been in the advertising indusry for 15 years, has already been working with the brand at JWT and was instrumental in its 2007 Get Real advertising campaign.
The brand, which was acquired by Nestlé in 2006, is well known in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand and is due to be launched in the UK this year.
