Thomas Cook takes on new Club 18-30 boss in office move

Thomas Cook has appointed a new general manager for its youth holiday brand Club 18-30 as it moves to Peterborough.

Company stalwart Stephen Vaughan, who has worked for the brand for 14 years, will lead the business following the departure of Paul Little.

Vaughan’s previous role was head of sales and distribution. He will report to Thomas Cook holiday division commercial director Adam Fredman.

Former general manager Little steps down after 20 years at Club 18-30, but will continue working on other projects within the holiday company.

The brand’s sales team is also being relocated from existing offices in Brighton to Thomas Cook’s base in Peterborough.

Club 18-30’s marketing is overseen by Thomas Cook’s central marketing team, which reports to executive director Simon Carter.

The brand did not launch a New Year campaign this year. Thomas Cook says that Club 18-30’s marketing will be assessed once Vaughan has overseen the relocation.

There have been rumours that Thomas Cook wants to offload Club 18-30, which has undergone an overhaul in recent years in an attempt to shed its laddish reputation.

Last year the brand hired Killer Creative to design its summer 2009 brochure.
