Poke picks up IAB award for Orange microsite

Orange%20micrositePoke has won the Interactive Advertising Bureau’s Creative Showcase Award for its latest work for mobile operator Orange.

The agency has scooped the award, which is in association with MDAS, for a microsite for Orange Unlimited, which judges described as “unique” and “beautifully designed”. The Unlimited web page shows a “never-ending” rainbow, which guides the user down the page through “weird interactive oddities” to mini-games, downloads, give-aways, toys and mobile goodies.

Meanwhile, Lean Mean Fighting Machine was this month’s first runner up with a campaign for the Afghanistan war book, 3Para, by Patrick Bishop. The campaign used mobile technology to get people to make “real life” decisions on the battlefields of Afghanistan.

Weapon 7 claimed second runner-up spot for its work for the Department of Transport’s Think! campaign, with an ad urging people to think before they drink and drive.
