The Mirror Group has called a review of its £3.5m advertising account.
The publisher is parting company with M&C Saatchi, marking the end of a 12-year relationship.
A shortlist of agencies is being drawn up with the AAR. M&C Saatchi will not repitch for the business.
Mirror Group managing director Richard Webb says: “We have enjoyed a long and fruitful relationship with M&C Saatchi, however our business focus has changed in recent times and so have our agency requirements.”
The group’s media planning and buying account, handled by ZenithOptimedia, is unaffected by the review.
