Britvic has appointed former EMAP chief marketing officer Simon Stewart as its marketing director. Stewart replaces Andrew Marsden (pictured) who left in July after more than 10 years in the role.
Stewart, who leaves EMAP after just seven months, will be responsible for Britvic’s brand marketing, category marketing, innovation, insight, corporate affairs and marketing services capabilities. He joins on February 4 and will report into chief executive Paul Moody.
Stewart began his career at Coca-Cola in Australia before moving to drinks giant Diageo, where he became vice president marketing for the company’s Smirnoff brand.
He then joined Allied Domecq in 2001, where his roles included chief marketing officer for its spirits and wines division. He joined EMAP in July as chief marketing officer across its consumer brands.
Stewart will oversee a number of brands including its Robinsons and J20 brands as well as PepsiCo brands in the UK Pepsi and Pepsi Max.
