TBWA Group has appointed former Publicis general manager Mark Cramphorn (right) to the new role of TBWA and Tequila general manager. The move reunites him with TBWA’s UK president Tim Lindsay (left), with whom he worked at Publicis.

Cramphorn left Publicis last year (MW October 4, 2007), shortly after Lindsay stepped down as UK chairman to join TBWA. The two have also worked together at Bartle Bogle Hegarty and Young & Rubicam.

Lindsay says Cramphorn’s hiring is crucial to implementing TBWA Group’s “Media Arts” vision, which will see its different divisions working together to “foster disruptive and unusual growth ideas” for clients.

Lindsay adds: “Mark and I have always been very hands on and now, with his considerable experience and management expertise on the team, we’ll make TBWA’s whole greater than the sum of its parts.”
