Teleflorist mocks American Beauty in ‘campaign for real floristry’

Teleflorist%20campaignTeleflorist is launching a viral campaign which makes a humorous play on Oscar-winning film American Beauty to highlight the benefits of traditional florists over supermarket and high-street boxed bouquets.

The viral, which is the first consumer marketing that Teleforist has undertaken, goes live this week. It is being launched to coincide with Valentine’s Day and highlight a 10% discount the company is running over the period.

The ad shows an attractive blonde women lying on a bed of rose petals, mimicking the iconic sequence, featuring actress Mena Suvari, from American Beauty.

Beautiful flowers and ribbons fall on the girl before the magic is suddenly broken by a barrage of huge flower boxes landing on her.

The viral, which has been created by advertising agency RLA, ends with Teleforist’s strapline “We take flowers personally”. Teleforist says that the campaign highlights that its flower bouquets are always hand-made by local florists.

The viral is being hosted on a specifically designed website www.campaignforrealfloristry.co.uk
