Getmemedia aids DJ’s hunt for tour sponsor

DJ Norman Jay has signed up to Getmemedia.com, the online marketing and media director, to find a sponsor for his Good Times Without Prejudice tour.

Tribes Outdoor, which is handling the sales and sponsorship of the tour, is seeking a brand to become the headline sponsor of the event and the DJ’s Good Times compilation albums. The sponsor will also be able to record performances and use digital content.

It is understood that Tribes, which declined to comment on the value of the deal, is already in talks with a “major beer brand”.

Meanwhile, the Daily Mail has signed up to Getmemedia.com to find a sponsor for its weather section from Monday to Saturday. This marks the first time the national newspaper has offered a brand for its weather pageThe deal will include exclusive advertising on the page and its brand logo will feature next to the weather headline box.

Getmemedia.com works with a number of high profile advertisers, matching sponsorship opportunities with brands.

Last month, the Football League signed up to Getmemedia.com to find three official partners for the 2008/09 season (MW January 10).
