Cheetham Bell JWT parts company with Lambrini
Cheetham Bell JWT has resigned the Lambrini advertising account. The Manchester-based agency had held the account for a decade.
Lambrini, which is owned by Halewood International, confirmed that it has ended the relationship but declined to comment further.
Cheetham Bell JWT chief executive David Bell says that the agency resigned the account at the end of last week but would not comment on why the decision had been taken. Bell says he “assumes” the agency will be expected to fulfil a three-month notice period.
The news comes as Halewood relaunches Lambrini Pink Bubbly to coincide with Valentine’s Day. The relaunch is being backed by a new TV campaign. Last September, Halewood launched a £5m campaign across TV, online and outdoor. The ad, which had the strapline “Do the Lambrini”, included its first TV work for three years
At the time, Halewoood said the campaign was the start of a three-year promotional programme for the brand, which was also repackaged.
