Lowe to create Government A Level campaign
The Department for Children, Schools and Families has appointed Lowe to create a campaign to boost the number of students taking science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) at A Level. Digital agency Glue and Naked will also work on the campaign.
The agencies were appointed following a competitive pitch that was handled by COI. They are now working with DCSF to develop an integrated campaign that will run across cinema, TV, radio and digital. It will break next month.
The three-year campaign will target teenagers, parents and teachers to promote STEM and to show that it can leading to a wide range of career options and opportunities.
DCSF deputy head of marketing Nicky Waid says: “The campaign is a really important part of the STEM Next Steps agenda. It will challenge young people’s perceptions of what it means to work in careers from science and maths in the 21st century.”
