VirtualGym holds train station workouts

Online fitness brand VirtualGym TV is running an experiential campaign at major London railway stations this week, offering rush-hour commuters the chance to take part in workout sessions on the way to and from work.

The campaign will see celebrity personal trainer Jackie Diss running classes at Liverpool Street, Waterloo and Victoria.

VirtualGym TV offers online exercise regimes that members can download from a website. It has also signed up with companies including Unilever to provide staff with access to its content. Workers at Unilever’s Crawley office have been offered discount membership of the site.

Richard Davis, managing director of VirtualGym TV, says government legislation puts greater pressure on businesses to cater for the mental and physical wellbeing of their employees, and an online gym is a cost effective way of providing that.
