Financial Times launches executive-level social network

Financial Times 2The Financial Times has launched an executive-level social network. It has created the exclusive membership forum to target the media and technology industries, and is planning to launch forums for other sectors later in the year.

The Telecoms Media and Technology Executive Membership Forum will allow users to search and contact fellow members using an online networking tool, complimentary passes to FT global conferences, access to FT conferences’ speaker presentations and podcasts, and a 12-month subscription to FT.com and entrance to networking events.

It is aimed directly at executives working within the digital, new media, mobile and telecoms sectors.

It is the first in a series of membership forums to be launched by the Financial Times this year, with groups for the luxury goods and property sectors to follow later in the year.

Jayne Van Hoen, global conference director, Financial Times, says: “The launch of the FT’s Telecoms Media and Technology Executive Forum provides a highly targeted network where executives from these fast-moving industries can connect and share their knowledge.”
