Innocent marketing head quits to set up consultancy

Innocent marketing director, Gareth Helm, is leaving the smoothie company after just over one year in the role. He is leaving to set up his own marketing consultancy.

Jamie Mitchell, managing director of Innocent, will take of Helm’s role and oversee responsibility for the marketing team.

Charlotte Rawlins, head of communications, will continue to head up Innocent’s internal creative agency and PR teams.

Helm joined Innocent in January 2007 from Cereal Partners, where was marketing manager. His consultancy business will be called Monsters and Mermaids.

In January this year the company launched a £4m TV and press campaign promoting the quality of its smoothies. At the time, Helm also announced his plans to restructure the marketing department, creating separate brand and innovation teams.

Lowe London had previously held the creative account until Innocent announced it would take it in-house at the end of January.
