WCRS has won the £12m Carbon Trust advertising business after a three-way pitch against roster agencies, Vallance Carruthers Coleman Priest and RKCR/Y&R. It is now the lead agency for the body for the next three years.

The government-funded body appointed the three agencies to its roster in January 2007. VCCP was handed a one-year contract as lead agency, which expired at the beginning of this year.

Media planning and online advertising are also being reviewed with Manning Gottlieb OMD, Media Planning Group and Edwards Groom Saunders competing for the media brief, which will also be for a three-year contract. MG OMD handled the account for the last year.

In December 2006, the Carbon Trust appointed Delaney Knox Warren, McCann Erickson, Quadrant Consultants and TequilaLondon to its general planning and strategy roster, which will be in place until 2010.
