John Lewis has poached Figleaves chief executive Robin Terrell to head its John Lewis Direct division. Terrell will be responsible for all aspects of the retailer’s online business.
He will join the retailer next month and report to commercial director Phil Hullah. Terrell has been chief operating officer of Figleaves, the online lingerie company, for three years and was previously managing director of Amazon.co.uk.
Hullah says Terrell brings a “wealth” of online experience to the brand and will be tasked with building the “huge opportunity” John Lewis has in online selling and multichannel retailing.
Last month John Lewis appointed former Virgin Trains sales and marketing director Craig Inglis as its head of brand communications.
