Heart, Galaxy and Piz Buin’s ‘al fresco fun’ to target women

Heart%20and%20Galaxy%20radio%20advertHeart and Galaxy, the Global Radio-owned brands, are launching a series of outdoor events with sun-cream brand Piz Buin. The events willtarget female consumers to encourage them to be safe in the sun.

The £1m deal, which was negotiated by Carat Sponsorship, will see the Heart Ground Patrol out in London, Birmingham and Nottingham, promoting Piz Buin by encouraging people to have “al fresco fun” with parasols, deck chairs, beach blankets and games.

Meanwhile, Galaxy will be hosting Al Fresco summer parties in Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, Yorkshire and Birmingham.

The partnership, which will run for 13 weeks, will also include the first Global sponsorship of the 7-8pm slot on Heart and the 6-7pm slot on Galaxy. It will also run on Heart on Saturdays from 12pm to 4pm and on Sundays from 12pm to 7pm on Emma B’s show.

It will include a range of onand off-air promotions and homepage takeovers on both the Heart and Galaxy websites.

Galaxy has recently updated its branding and logo as part of a move to appeal to a wider audience (MW May 1). The new logo, which has been created by Creative Spark, features the strapline “Love Music” below the Galaxy logo.

It has revamped its website to allow listeners to rate music and listen to what was last on air.
