Singha beer hunts first ad agency in UK

Thai beer brand Singha is seeking its first advertising agency in the UK to support a £3m marketing and communications plan for this year.

The agency will have a brief to raise the profile of the 5% ABV lager within its core 25to 35-year-old consumers, who have been to Thailand and know the brand.

The pitch will be overseen by importers Entbe and its marketing and press manager, Donna Tirrell.

She says: “Singha beer is positioned at the premium end of the market and is a genuine import that is still brewed and bottled in Thailand and is not produced under license. That will always remain the core position of the brand.”

BJK&E handles media planning and buying, but Tirrell adds that there is “a possibility Entbe could also review its media arrangements in the UK”.

In the past, Entbe has created in-house ads for Singha.
