BMW launches outdoor ads for fuel-saving programme

BMW is launching a targeted outdoor campaign to promote its fuel-saving EfficientDynamics programme. The posters “thank” the various aspects of driving that allow the system to work.

The ads, which break on May 19 and have been created by WCRS, will run at traffic intersections and on hills with location specific messages. One execution says: “Sit here in traffic every day? In a BMW Auto Start-Stop you could be using no fuel and releasing zero emissions. Thank you traffic jam.”

The posters will run on JCDecaux’s large format and six sheet sites on roads and at Waitrose sites. The campaign has been planned and bought by Phd and Posterscope.

The luxury car company has also extended the campaign to petrol pumps and bus backs.

BMW says its EfficientDynamics programme is a technology that reduces fuel consumption and reduces CO2 emissions while “enhancing the pleasure of driving”.
