TUI name e-commerce head

tui.gifTUI Travel UK has appointed Alun Williams as director of e-commerce, with overall responsibility for the brand’s websites, including all online marketing, partnerships and content production. It is part of a restructure of its online team.

The move follows the departure of former new media director Graham Donoghue to travelsupermarket.com. Williams, who will report to tour operations director David Burling, is the former head of e-commerce at the TUI-owned brand, First Choice.

As part of the restructure Nathan Timmins, former head of online marketing at Thomson, has been appointed head of online marketing and partnerships for TUI UK, his remit includes online marketing, partnerships and affiliates across all mainstream websites.

Neil Swanson has been named head of sales, operations and content. He will responsible for managing content production for both online and brochures across all mainstream brands. Meanwhile, David Jarvis has been given the role of head of user experience, responsible for ensuring websites remain user-centric in both development and design.
