Expedia promotes Seiler to Euro marketing head

Expedia has promoted Jrgen Seiler to general manager of marketing for Europe. He will take on the position with immediate effect and will be in charge of all marketing activity across the company’s sites in Germany, France, Italy and the UK.

Expedia has promoted Jürgen Seiler to general manager of marketing for Europe. He will take on the position with immediate effect and will be in charge of all marketing activity across the company’s sites in Germany, France, Italy and the UK.

He will take on the role as well as the role of general manager for Expedia Germany and will report to Expedia EMEA’s senior vice president, Alex Zivoder. Seiler has worked for Expedia since December 1999 and most recently held the role of marketing director for Germany.

Expedia promoted Tamer Tamar to managing director and vice president for Europe Middle east and Africa in March this year (MW.co.uk March 7). He joined the company in 2004 as business development manager for the UK.

The online travel company has also signed a number of deals over the last few months, including an exclusive deal with BSkyB to provide a full service booking website for city breaks, flights, hotels and car hire through its new travel portal.
