Landor and Interbrand in Hays pitch

Hays, the international recruitment company, has invited Interbrand and Landor to pitch for a major corporate rebranding brief.

The brief will involve reviewing brand strategy, developing a new corporate identity and rolling out the results internationally.

Sholto Douglas-Home, who joined the company as group marketing director this year, says: “Our footprint is impressive. We are already in 27 countries, but we have really big ambitions to develop.”

Hays claims to be the market leader in specialist recruitment in the UK and Australia. It also has a heavy presence in Europe and significant operations in Asia Pacific. The company had revenues of £2.1bn and net fees of £634m last year.

Douglas-Home, formerly Reuters’ global head of brand development and marketing communications, was appointed by Hays in January but joined in April. Before Reuters, Douglas-Home was sales and marketing director of the Millennium Dome, and prior to that head of advertising at BT.
