Yahoo! Music to revamp UK and Ireland website

Yahoo! Music Europe is relaunching its UK and Ireland site with a new look and improved range of features, such as personalised video recommendations and playlist tools.

The site will extend the internet company’s existing partnerships with Universal Music, Warner Music, EMI and SonyBMG, to offer music from the four biggest record labels. Yahoo! will also make some its music video catalogue available through off-network video player applications such as Facebook, Bebo and French social networking site, SkyRock.

Yahoo! general manager, Ventura Barba, says: “The site redevelopment and the brokering of great partnership deals is integral to our ongoing strategy of developing the best music content on the internet an ensuring Yahoo! Music Europe continues to be the essential starting point for music lovers.”

The site will offer exclusive content from new music videos as well as access to a back catalogue of videos, gig reviews photo galleries and audio. It will also offer music blogs, an embedded music video player and a redesigned home page.
