TalkSport uses agency to launch e-magazine

TalkSport Magazine has appointed The Grout Eccles Partnership as the marketing agency for its launch in the next three months.

Grout Eccles will work with the digital magazine, which is an extension of the national commercial radio station, to raise awareness of the launch and build the brand.

The agency will develop a campaign that uses national sports radio station TalkSport’s assets, such as websites and e-mail data, to inform people about the launch of the magazine and encourage them to view it online.

The agency will also be looking to use PR and events as well as TalkSport and its sister station, Independent London Radio, to drive people to visit TalkSport Magazine. Grout Eccles will also be has a brief to use response data to help TalkSport Magazine to build relationships with its readers.

Grout Eccles partner Steve Grout says: “Building engagement through content and using new communications channels is increasingly critical to successful direct response strategies.”

TalkSport is owned by UTV Radio, which has about 25 stations in the UK and Ireland and sells commercial time on a small number of independent stations. Its portfolio includes Juice FM and alternative rock music programming in Liverpool.
