Five has moved its £5m advertising from Vallance Carruthers Coleman Priest to Grey without a pitch. The move follows the departure of director of content Lisa Opie (pictured), who was responsible for the broadcaster’s marketing.

VCCP has held the business since 2006 after it won the business from TBWA/London. The agency oversaw the launch of digital channels Five Life and Five US and also designed an ad campaign to herald the arrival of Australian soap Neighbours, which Five poached from its long-term BBC home earlier this year.

The Engine Group branding agency Dave was handed the brief to relaunch Five Life as Fiver earlier this year (MW January 24).

Grey is understood to be working on a relaunch of the remaining Five brands, with a new on-air look and identity for each channel expected later this year.

Opie was handed responsibility for marketing services following the departure of marketing director Jane Scott late last year. She left the broadcaster last month with chief executive Jane Lighting after it was announced that Dawn Airey, the then managing director of global content at ITV, was joining as chief executive and chairman.
