British Airways head of marketing and distribution for British Airways Tiffany Hall is leaving the airline to “explore other opportunities”. Hall has been at BA for nearly 20 years and held a number of positions. She also manages the British Airways Holidays and Air Miles subsidiaries.
BA has confirmed Hall’s departure but says there is no news on a replacement or marketing restructure as yet. General manager for marketing communications Katherine Whitton was recruited last year and reports to Hall. Whitton last month appointed OgilvyOne as the airline’s global direct marketing agency.
Hall and then global head of brand and marketing communications Jayne O’Brien developed the brand campaign created by Bartle Bogle Hegarty last year that depicted BA airline staff serving drinks and comforts to visitors at The Rocks in Sydney. The campaign introduced the strapline “Upgrade to BA”.
BA will launch its subsidiary airline called OpenSkies, flying between Paris and New York, tomorrow (June 19).
In April, BA announced that Gareth Kirkwood, the operations director, and David Noyes, the customer services director, would be leaving the company following the debacle surrounding the airline’s move to Terminal 5. Each had been emplyed by BA for more than 20 years.
