Martin Jones steps down from AAR

Martin Jones, director of advertising at the AAR, is stepping down in December after 12 years in the role. His responsibilities will be taken over by AAR managing director,†Paul Phillips, in early 2009.

Jones, a former news business director at JWT, will remain a non-executive director and shareholder of the intermediary after his departure. He says he will work closely with Phillips over the next seven months “to ensure that the transition is seamless”. AAR chief executive, Kerry Glazer, will retain her responsibilities.

It is not thought that Jones will take on a new role immediately and he says he will “look for different challanges” in the future.

The AAR, which was set up in 1975, handles briefs across all marketing disciples and has over 200 clients. It also offers seminars on key industry issues.
