Flybe, the short-haul airline, is reviewing its £7m advertising account held by Souk Communications. The airline has confirmed it is in talks with six agencies over the account, which comprises business-to-business work as well as press and poster campaigns.

Souk Communications, which has held the account for 10 years, will not repitch, although Flybe marketing director Simon Lilley insists the agency remains on board and he is “informally meeting agencies”.

Media, handled by Starcom Mediavest since 2003, and direct marketing incumbent CMW are unaffected.

Flybe flies passengers throughout the UK and across Europe. It expanded in 2007 by acquiring parts of British Airways’ BA Connect regional business. The carrier began operations in 1979, rebranding to Flybe in 2002.
