Virgin Holidays launches viral ad

Virgin Holidays has launched viral as to support its “Ask for the world” campaign, featuring Charlotte Church. The viral shows the Welsh diva singing “I want it now” from the 1971 film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

It has also created a website called stilldemanding.com, based on actress Julie Dawn Cole, who played Veruca Salt in the film and originally sang “I want it now”.

The site features a series of films about Cole on safari called “Veruca Salt’s Big South African Adventure”, in which she reprises her character’s reputation nearly 40 years after the film and finds more things to demand and complain about.

The clips and personal video answers to questions posted on the site are all available for download, and show the diva in various states of tantrum despite the backdrop of the African Bush.
