General Mills promotes Hipkiss to international role

Linda%20Hipkiss%2C%20General%20MillsGeneral Mills, the US food manufacturer, has promoted marketing director, Linda Hipkiss, to vice president of marketing. The appointment will see Hipkiss move to the company’s head office in Minneapolis. 

She will be replaced in the UK by Ed Culf, currently commercial director of the company’s Jus-Rol and Saxby’s pastry division. He will be based at its Uxbridge office in Middlesex.

Hipkiss will report to Peter Capell, the senior vice-president for international marketing and sales, from September. She has held a variety of roles at General Mills global business, which owns the HŠagen-Dazs, Old El Paso and Green Giant brands, since joining the company in 1989. She moved in the UK company in 2001 and has handled a variety of brands including the launch of Natural Valley cereal bars. 

Jim Moseley, managing director of General Mills UK and Ireland, says the move are part of its commitment to developing the “best people and talent” across its global business. 

General Mills is part of the world’s sixth largest food company and also has a joint venture with Nestle, Cereal Partners Worldwide.
