Experian picks Tiscali man to push credit report service

Information services company Experian has hired former Tiscali and Freeserve marketer Peter Turner as director and general manager of its CreditExpert service.

Turner will develop Credit-Expert’s customer base and expand its product range. Turner was formerly business marketing director at Tiscali, and prior to that spent several years at Freeserve in a range of senior roles, including business development manager, e-commerce director and Wanadoo director of marketing communications and services. He oversaw the company’s rebranding to Wanadoo and its subsequent change to Orange Home.

There have been a number of new appointments at Experian’s UK interactive business division, which includes the CreditExpert service, leading up to Turner’s appointment. Nathan Omare joined as head of customer insight in April from Yahoo!, where he was trade research manager. David Williams joined the Experian interactive business as product marketing executive in April. He joined from Standard Chartered Singapore.

CreditExpert.co.uk is a subscription membership service, priced £6.99 per month, which allows consumers unlimited access to their credit report online. The service provides users with their complete Experian report including details of loans and revolving credit with the accounts’ repayment history going back six years.
