Miss World gets interactive

Miss World has launched an interactive website and online channel to encourage fans to interact with the brand. The site will offer global advertising and sponsorship opportunities.

The internet protocol TV channel (IPTV) will offer photos of the current competition and from its archives, news and programmes as well as coverage of every round of the latest contest. Viewers will be allowed “behind the scenes” of the beauty pageant and can also learn the contestants’ beauty secrets.

The site and channel, which have been created by Internet Television Productions, is seeking partner suppliers and licence agreements for the Miss World brand for merchandise, which will be sold on the site.

The website will have a diary written by the current Miss World and photos of her travels around the world.

Miss World attracts a TV audience of 2.2 billion people every year, which is over a third of the world population.
