Netflights.com puts shirts on Leeds United

Leeds United FC has signed travel operator netflights.com as its new shirt sponsor. The three-year deal comes after contractual difficulties with a proposed rival sponsor scuppered a deal.

The new kit, complete with sponsor’s logo, will debut during Saturday’s home friendly with Belgian team FCV Dender at Elland Road. The deal will see the netflights.com logo appear on the team’s shirt and on a variety of platforms at the club’s stadium, as well as on backdrops during interviews and advertising in its matchday programme.

Netflights.com is the trading name for Airline Network and is part of the Gold Medal travel group. The company offers long haul holidays and city breaks as well as flights, hotels and car hire in 1,500 destinations worldwide.

Leeds United chairman Ken Bates said: “We are delighted to sign a three-year agreement with a new sponsor to the club which further illustrates the confidence there is in Leeds United from the business community.”

The deal was brokered by Steve Lewis, head of commercial at Leeds United.
