The Sun, the News International-owned newspaper, has called a review of its £9m advertising business, currently handled by Euro RSCG. It is holding credentials meetings over the next week.

The review, which is being handled by the AAR, does not include the advertising for The Sun’s sister paper, the News of the World, which is also handled by Euro RSCG. The agency has held both accounts for three years.

Euro RSCG won the business following a three-way pitch against Publicis and Saatchi & Saatchi. It was previously handled by TBWALondon, which had worked on the account for ten years.

The Sun was the only tabloid to grow its readership according to the latest Audit Bureau of Circulations figures. It grew by 0.55% month on month, with a year on year rise to 3.1 million readers.

Euro RSCG launched a new TV work for the paper to support its fantasy football competition, Dream Team.
