New campaign – Johnson & Johnson

J&J rolls out Beijing Olympics TV ads

Johnson & Johnson is launching a major television campaign for its Johnson’s Baby brand to promote its global sponsorship of the Beijing Olympics.

The campaign, created by Lowe Worldwide centres around how Olympic athletes reached their goals through the support of their mother. The ads feature a series of personal messages made by UK Olympians to their mothers, thanking them for the role they play in their lives.

Athletes include BMX rider Shanaze Reade, gymnast Beth Tweddle, swimmer Fran Halsall, javelin thrower Goldie Sayers and hockey player Simon Mantell. US and Canadian athletes have been used in versions of the ad that will run in North America.

The push begins on August 8 to coincide with the opening ceremony of the Games.
