Blackthorn Cider is targeting sports fans in the West Country through an outdoor campaign. The ad, which breaks on August 11, will have the strapline: “Loving Sport in the Blackthorn Country”.
The outdoor ads have been created by Kinetic and AMS Media and will run across JCDecaux and Clear Channel’s roadside 48-sheet and six-sheet sites across the West Country. It will be supported by radio, regional press and sports editorial.
AMS Media says the out-of-home element allows the brand “to deliver tactical exposure in key towns” across the South West to communicate Blackthorn’s “strong affinity” with sports clubs in the area.
The summer is a key advertising period for cider brands and rivals Magners and Brothers have both ramped up their marketing activity over recent months.
