Baby property GoochiCoo has signed a deal with Bulldog Licensing to develop a selection of new products. They will be launched in the UK, Europe and the US.
The Goocichoo range of characters, which all have an individual slogan, was developed by commercial property professional Ged Backland and already features on products including Tommee Tippee bibs and cutlery as well as bedding by nursery brand Izziwotnot.
The GoochiCoo brand was launched two years ago and was originally handled by TLC. The characters are based around the idea of what it calls “nappitude” and feature slogans such as “Give Peas a Chance” and “Been Inside Nine Months”.
Deals are in place to develop a series of greetings cards featuring the characters to be sold through Clintons Cards, and Bulldog is developing plans to move into baby food, homeware, apparel, car accessories and personal care.
The idea is also being taken to the US, where the slogans will include “Future President” and “Born in the USA”.
