WCRS poaches BBH business director for MD role

WCRS has poached Bartle Bogle Hegarty business director Penny Herriman to become managing director. She replaces Will Orr who in June was promoted to chief executive.

He stepped up in a reshuffle that saw Debbie Klein become joint chief executive of Engine with Peter Scott, also group chairman. Orr filled in for Klein when she was on maternity leave.

Herriman’s departure follows that of BBH executive creative director John O’Keeffe who resigned last month after 18 years to join WPP Group as worldwide creative director (MW July 18).

Orr, who worked at WCRS until 2000, rejoined the agency in May 2005 as the managing director from Mother, where he ran The Observer, Boots and Sky Bet accounts.

Klein joined WCRS in 1997 from Saatchi & Saatchi as a planner. She was promoted to chief executive in 2005.

Herriman is yet to commence in her new role at WCRS.
