Lloyds TSB offers London 2012 Visa card

Lloyds TSB and Visa, worldwide Olympic partner, are launching a London 2012 branded Visa debit card. The limited edition card will be available until the end of September.

Lloyds says any new customer opening a current account with the bank will receive the card, which is green, silver, gold and black and features the London 2012 logo. Existing Lloyds TSB customers requiring a replacement for a lost, stolen or damaged card will also receive a branded card, as will all of Lloyds’ UK-based staff.

In March, Lloyds became the first tier one sponsor of London 2012, in a deal that is thought to have cost as much as £80m. As banking and insurance partner, Lloyds TSB has exclusive access and category marketing rights for London 2012 and to Team GB for the Beijing Games and the next Winter Olympics in Vancouver 2010.

Visa is a worldwide partner of the International Olympic Association and holds exclusive rights as the official payment service of the Olympic Games and will be the only cards accepted at all Olympic venues and for official Olympic-related transactions.
