“The Hoff” launches into social networking

David Hasselhoff, the singer and former Baywatch actor, has started his own social-networking website – Hoffspace. The new website will replace his MySpace profile as his main channel of communications with fans.

The website is designed to help “the Hoff” communicate with his fans using his official website, instead of via his MySpace profile. Over 12,000 fans have already joined the new website.

Hasselhoff, currently appearing as a guest judge on America’s Got Talent, says the site will help him communicate more easily with his fans around the world.

He adds: “I realised that while two people from two entirely different countries and backgrounds may seem to have nothing in common, the only thing they might have in common is me.

“So I decided to start a network where people from across the world might come together and get a conversation started over me,” he writes on Hoffspace.
